Bio:
Mike’s practice consists primarily of commercial litigation and dispute resolution matters. His experience encompasses complex construction, insurance, creditors' rights, fiduciary duty, fraud and breach of contract cases.
In his work on complex litigation matters, Mike has focused on insurance-related issues and disputes. He has represented clients in significant coverage litigation in state and federal courts around the country. Mike has handled cases for policyholders, including declaratory judgment actions concerning coverage, claims handling, bad faith and other policy-related issues.
Mike has represented clients in all areas of construction law, including litigation, mediation, dispute resolution, mechanic’s liens, insurance disputes and contract negotiation. He has represented owners, general contractors, and subcontractors. Mike has represented lenders in lender liability cases, and creditors in a variety of bankruptcy proceedings, including over 100 preference matters.
As a result of his work in complex litigation, Mike has also developed a deep understanding of the legal and practical aspects of electronic discovery in today's litigation and dispute arenas. Having attended to e-discovery issues for years, Mike has contemporaneously studied the development of the law and has an understanding of the contemporary rules for handling e-discovery.
Mike is a graduate of the Cincinnati Bar Association’s Cincinnati Academy of Leadership for Lawyers (CALL) Class. Originally from Connecticut, Mike, his wife, Julie, and their daughter, Summer, live in Wyoming, Ohio.
